1. ELIGIBILITY: You must be 18 or older as of the start date of the Stanley
Cup Champions DVD giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) and a legal resident
of the 50 United States or DC to enter. Sweepstakes is not open to employees
of Sponsor or their immediate family members, or to employees (or their immediate
family members) of any of Sponsor’s affiliated companies or of any licensees,
advertising or promotional agencies associated with this Sweepstakes. Void where
prohibited.
2. TO ENTER: Sweepstakes begins July 15, 2010 at 9:00 AM CST, and ends on July
23, 2010 at 12:00 PM CST (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
Contestants wishing to enter the Sweepstakes must click the “Like”
button on the WGN Radio Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/wgnradio and
enter the Sweepstakes via the Sweepstakes form. If you are already a fan or
have previously indicated that you “Like” WGN Radio, you may enter
by completing the Sweepstakes form. All forms must be accurately completed and
submitted during the Sweepstakes Period.
There is a limit of 1 fan/”like” request per person or e-mail address.
Entries in excess of the limit will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible
for lost, incomplete, damaged, illegible, late, or misdirected entries, or for
errors in mechanical transmission, technical difficulties or inability to transmit.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS & PRIZES:
(a) Winners. After 12:00 PM CST on July 23, 2010 twenty (20) winners will be
selected at random from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes
Period. The size of the prize pool is dependent on the number of entries received.
Odds of winning prize depend on number of eligible entries. All winners shall
be subject to verification and compliance with the rules.
(b) Sponsor will attempt to notify winners via e-mail. A winner will be disqualified
and an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing from among all remaining
entries if (1) a winner does not claim his or her prize within 72 hours of the
first notification attempt; (2) a winner does not fulfill the eligibility requirements;
(3) a winner does not adhere to the Official Rules; and/or (4) if the prize
notification is returned as undeliverable, refused, or declined.
4. PRIZES: Twenty (20) grand prize winners will each receive an Official NHL
Stanley Cup Champions DVD. Retail value: $24.95.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and (except
as provided by their terms) not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise.
Only one winner per household. If any prize becomes unavailable for any reason,
Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. Returned
or unclaimed prize will be forfeited. Each winner is solely responsible for
all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Sponsor will mail
DVD to winners upon verification. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded,
but in no event will Sponsor award more prizes than are provided for in these
Official Rules.
6. CONDITIONS & RESTRICTIONS. Winners may be required to sign and return
an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release, and, if so, it must be returned to
Sponsor within one week of the date Sponsor sends it to winner. Failure to return
such document will result in that winner being disqualified, and Sponsor may
randomly draw another winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Entrants
agree Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising
from this Sweepstakes and that its decision is final and binding. Except where
prohibited by law, entrants agree to allow use of their name and any information
provided on entry form in any medium of communication, including print, Internet,
radio and/or television and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional
or other purposes, by Sponsor and/or its affiliates, without additional compensation.
Winners, by acceptance of their prizes, agree to release, indemnify and hold
harmless Sponsor, and its parent companies and affiliates, and each of their
employees, representatives, contractors, sponsors and advertisers, from any
and all liability, loss, damage, costs or claims related to any allegation regarding
the award of, the receipt of, or the use of their prizes, including without
limitation those related to personal injury, death, property damage defamation,
and claims based on the rights of publicity and privacy
7. INTERNET: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as
planned, or if this Sweepstakes or any website associated therewith (or any
portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the
Sweepstakes and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if
infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions
by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsor’s
sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity,
or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its
sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or
to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof.
In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled, the Sponsor may conduct a random
drawing to award prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received
prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such
cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification
will be posted on Sponsor’s Facebook page.
8. COMPLIANCE: Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit any entrant from participating
in the Sweepstakes if, at its sole discretion, Sponsor finds such entrant to
be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, or
if such entrant repeatedly shows a disregard for, or attempts to circumvent,
these Official Rules, or acts: (a) in a manner the Sponsor determines to be
not fair or equitable; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other
entrant or Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner. Sponsor assumes no
liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any
faulty, failed, garbled or jumbled electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized
access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the
operation of this Sweepstakes; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error,
omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications
line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks,
lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of
the operation of the Sweepstakes; or (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of
the Internet or the Sweepstakes website or any combination thereof. ANY ATTEMPT
TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS GIVAWAY WILL
RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES. Sweepstakes rules shall be
governed and enforced pursuant to Illinois law, excluding choice of law provisions.
