    The DuPage Veterans Foundation invites the public to join in honoring WWII veterans at its first annual fundraiser on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 11 am  to 4 pm at DuPage Airport (2700 International Drive, West Chicago). Gates open at 11 am followed by lunch with the veterans, static displays of WWII era aircraft and military vehicles, music by Legacy Girls and much more.

    The Veterans Network Committee of Northern Illinois in McHenry County is holding an event  "Rockin for Honor Flight" at Woodstock Harley Davidson September 11th to welcome home 8 World War II Veterans from their trip back from Washington DC. The day starts at 12 PM and runs until 9 PM. There will be music preformed by The Screamin End, Blonde on Board, and the feature performance by Grand Funk Railroad. There will be food and drinks available at the event as well as an Honor Flight Bike Run.
