Steve Dahl is a radio personality who has enlivened Chicago airwaves since 1978, following a stint in Detroit and several in southern California, where he was born and raised. A Chicago Emmy winner, Dahl has also created numerous TV projects over the years, including It's Too Early, a daily morning show hailed as "the best program on television" by Tribune columnist Bob Greene. His candid, stream of consciousness style, incorporating subject matter ranging from current events to family anecdotes to workaday life at a radio station, has influenced many other American broadcasters.

Noting that there has never been a person, thing, or substance he hasn't tried to abuse, Dahl joined the Chicago Tribune as the newspaper's vice advisor columnist in January of 2006. He also writes a daily weblog, which can be found at Dahl.com, and performs his songs in live concerts from time to time.

Dahl and his wife Janet have called Chicago home for almost 30 years. They live in the western suburbs and have three grown sons.
