THE JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION GREATER CHICAGO CHAPTER HONORS RON SANTO AS 2002 PERSON OF THE YEAR

The Person of the Year Award Dinner, held on May 20, was a highly-successful, well-attended event for the JDRF, WGN Radio 720's Neediest Kids Fund and Cubs Care. The two latter are funds of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation. The event raised $575,000, including table sales, a "live" auction and "Fund a Care" program. The portion of the proceeds benefiting the Neediest Kids Fund and Cubs Care will earn a match from the Foundation, increasing the dollars available to support this critical research.
