It is only through the media that the word is passed that broken neck kids need our love, respect and a helping hand at times. I personally have been involved since 1999 when Rob Komosa broke his neck. I have seen many miracles come about when the community steps up to offer encouragement and more. The media plays a key role. If these kids are forgotten, and as quadriplegic persons tucked away and out of sight and out of mind to the larger world--this is perhaps a greater tragedy than the physical catastrophe that has befallen them. I invite the media and public to come to Halas Hall on 12/9 meet 5 of the student athletes founders and affirm their desire to create a national network that aids all student athletes who become injured. Thanks Gary and Mary. Happy Thanksgiving
