When he’s not talking with you on WGN Bill is President of Bill Moller Communications, LLC. He helps executives, sales and project management teams…anyone really, develop confidence and a strong professional presence so they can leave positive and lasting impressions and better sell themselves, their ideas and their businesses.
He was also anchor, talk show and business show host at CLTV from its launch in 1993 until February 2006. For his writing, reporting and anchoring he has won three Emmys, two Peter Lisagor Awards for Exemplary Journalism from the Society of Professional Journalists, and two first place Associated Press awards among others.
He has served as emcee or moderator for many business events in Chicago some of which include:
− University of Illinois Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame awards banquet (5 times)
− Junior Achievement’s Chicago Business Hall of Fame (4 times)
− The Chicagoland Chamber Innovate Now Summit (3 times)
− The Chicagoland Workplace Excellence Awards (3 times)
− The 2010 Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence
He led a seminar on reporting at The Chicago Headline Club’s Les Brownlee Journalism Series.
He was an adjunct professor in journalism at Columbia College and was appointed the first Annenberg Scholar at Principia College in Elsah, Illinois where he taught broadcasting and communications.
In 2007 he helped set up the communications department for The American Council on Renewable Energy in Washington D.C.
Bill loves to listen to and perform jazz piano as well as read history and news publications. He lives with his wife Elizabeth and son Marshall in Clarendon Hills where they can be seen walking or riding bikes almost every day. Bill's daughter, Margaret lives in West Des Moines with her husband and two children and his oldest son, William is a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska.
