(WGN-AM)- Friends and family gathered Friday to mourn Chastity Turner, the 9-year-old girl who was shot to death last week as she and her father washed the family dogs.

Classmates and other mourners approached her casket one by one at Leak and Sons Funeral Chapel at 7838 S. Cottage Grove Ave.

Chastity was killed when a van pulled up to her father's home in Englewood and someone opened fire.

Her father and two others were wounded. Police say her father, Andre Turner, may have been the target.

Chastity had just completed 3rd grade at Thorp Elementary School.

Two men have been charged with the shooting.
