(WGN-AM)- Sen. Roland Burris told WGN Radio's John Williams Wednesday morning that he did not give any money to former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
"I didn't raise any money, and I didn't give any money. And that's the end of the story," Burris said in the interview with Williams.
Burris is facing a new round of questions following the release of new transcripts of wiretapped phone calls in the Rod Blagojevich corruption case.
The transcripts detail November 13 conversations between Roland Burris and former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's brother, Robert Blagojevich, about being appointed to President Obama's senate seat.
Robert Blagojevich was the head of the Blagojevich campaign fund. According to the transcript, Burris offered to personally do something for the Blagojevich campaign fund.
But Burris says he didn't try to buy the seat.
"It is troubling to me because I knew that it would be seen as a transaction, and now...I'm being questioned by the media," Burris said to Williams.
