Ted Novak

Ted Novak reports traffic overnights on WGN. After graduating from St. Joseph's College with a degree in broadcast media, Ted took his first full-time radio position as the news director and morning show host a WRIN-AM in Rensselaer, Ind., while also reporting traffic part-time in Chicago. He became a full-time traffic reporter in Chicago in 1995, and he joined WGN Traffic Central in August 1998, delivering tour-one traffic reports for Steve and Johnnie from 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Ted is a lifelong Chicago area resident, growing up in Oak Forest and attending high school at Marist on the Southwest Side. He lives in the southwest suburbs.

When he's not reporting on Chicago's expressways and tollways, Ted's a sports fan -- and he claims to have succeeded former WGN weather forecaster Roger Triemstra as WGN Radio's most dedicated White Sox fan.
