Steve Bertrand

Steve Bertrand began as an intern at WGN Radio in 1984. He was hired full time in 1985. Since joining the station, he has been recognized with numerous awards for his reporting, anchoring and his work with the Chicago Bears radio broadcasts.

He was the producer of the radio station's play-by-play broadcasts of the Bears games for six years in the late '80s and mid '90s. He also appeared on the station's pre and post-game shows.

Steve's awards include a Chicago Headline Club Peter Lisagor award in 1999 and an Associated Press award for Best Investigative reporting in 1991.

He was born and raised in Manteno, Illinois and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee. He earned degrees in Journalism and Political Science.

Steve Bertrand and his wife Sharon live with their two children in Lake County, Illinois.
